Abstract

This study aims to address the artistic content represented in the decorative drawings included in samples of pottery pieces discovered in some eastern sites of Algeria , and dated in the third century BC and the fourth century AD, and then elicit religious connotations and the mythological significance that they perform, such as the idea of ​​immortality and victory and the stories of some heroes and gods within a harmonious mixture between religious ideas and trends of oriental origins on the one hand and greco-roman on the other, which spread in the ancient Maghreb, in addition to a number of economic dimensions that these pottery and its drawings contributed to revealing.
