Abstract

The street naming is not new to academic studies, the aim of this research paper is to know the extent to which the Algerians in general and the Blida community in particular have been affected by the historical factor in naming the street. Various maps and designations of streets in Blida. We have come to the conclusion that the Algerian authorities were able to restore the national identity of our streets, which was suffering from the nominal dependence of the colonizer, but the greater role remained for the society, which found itself in the double and sometimes triple names of its streets, in addition to its adherence to the cultural and social heritage, but it is aware of the official designation and its presence in the his daily realit.
