The French railway network in Algeria, through French sources 1833-1857

Abstract

The railway project in Algeria is one of the largest projects that the French administration has considered, given the colonial need for these lines in transportation, especially since Algeria has a strategic location that represents the key to French policy in Africa, and because of the importance of this settlement, military and economic project, it has sparked a debate between politicians and decision-makers.
