Abstract

This article discusses the danger of false reporting on people and society. In it, it was shown how false reporting played a major role in the downfall of Ibn Rushd Al-hafeed (595H) and Ibn Alkhatib (776H). The article also shed light on the evil schemes and machinations that the false reporters plotted in order to turn the people in power against these two (02) great intellectuals. Unfortunately, their efforts were successful; Ibn Rushd Al-hafeed and Ibn Alkhatib had been subjected to great suffering. They have been humiliated, banished and imprisoned. Their books were burned and their freedom was restricted by authority.
