Abstract

Mayafariqin is one of the important Islamic cities due to its geographical location separating the borders of the Euphrates region and Armenia, so it had a strategic importance since ancient times in the conflict between the Persian and Byzantine empires, and their quest to occupy that important region with its history and civilization, and its importance, and its distinctive location, it became a victim of wars between The Romans and the Persians before the Muslims conquered it in the year 18 AH / 639 AD, thus entering a new phase in its history ,In addition to its influential political role as it was the capital of several Islamic countries such as the Marwanid state, as well as during the era of the Seljuks, and the Ayyubids who made the city a security base along their northern borders to stop the attacks of the enemies, n addition to its influential political role, as it was the capital of several Islamic countries, such as the Marwanid state, as well as during the era of the Seljuks, and the Ayyubids who made the city a security base along their northern borders to stop the attacks of enemies, and the people of Mayyafariqin had a great role in fighting the Tatar Mongols, despite the challenges. The city did not abandon its civilizational message, and its people continued to innovate in various scientific fields, and famous scholars appeared among its sons who contributed to the prosperity of Islamic civilization. the research is an attempt by us to shed light On the Landmarks architectural in the Ayyubid era before it was destroyed by the Mongol invaders
