Abstract

This study provides a conceptual and analytical framework for smart recommendation systems contribution in supporting sustainable ecotourism and promoting smart tourism development strategies, by aligning key recommendation patterns with sustainability indicators, it discusses the issue of using AI to personalize tourism recommendations based on integrating environmental and behavioral data to improve the accuracy of recommendations and change tourist behavior towards more environmentally responsible practices while ensuring a distinctive tourism experience. The results showed that smart recommendation systems increase the accuracy and personalization of recommendations, support the tourist experience, and facilitate decision-making in eco-tourism destinations. The study recommends increasing investment in the development of these systems and training, and establishing the necessary regulatory frameworks to maximize their use in various tourism contexts.
