Abstract

Distance education is one of the modern means in the education system, as
it provides a wide range of modern technologies that help in strengthening
and expanding the educational process. This study aims to reveal the
historical path of distance education and identify its most important
literature. Where he addressed the nature of distance education and some
of the concepts associated with it, its inception, as well as its patterns and
importance, as well as identifying the challenges facing this type oeducation. The necessities imposed by this technological revolution on the
one hand and on the other hand due to the spread of the Corona Virus, so
this type of education must be reconsidered and developed in order to
reduce the difficulties faced by both learners and faculty members.
