This study aims to understand the role of recreational activities practiced in schools
and primary schools in promoting mental health among primary school students. The
study was conducted using a descriptive approach by distributing a questionnaire to a
group of physical education and sports teachers for primary education at the level of
the municipality of Barhoum, in the district of M'sila, estimated at 22 teachers. After
collecting and analysing data using statistical packages and various necessary
statistical methods, and interpreting them, we reached several results, including:
School recreational activities (sports, tourism, artistic and cultural) have a positive
role in promoting students' mental health. Based on these findings, we have proposed
a set of recommendations and future suggestions that serve the subject of our research
