The level of social cohesion among football teams in Ramtha District from the players' point of view

Abstract

This study aimed to identify the degree of social cohesion and the relationship between social cohesion and the
level of sporting achievement among the soccer teams in the Ramtha District from the players' point of view. The
researcher used the descriptive approach، on a sample made up of Ramtha Club and Ramtha Union players using
the comprehensive inventory method، where the study sample reached ( 48) Player، the researcher built a
questionnaire on social cohesion and distributed it electronically to the study sample، and the SPSS program was
used to statistically process the data through the use of several arithmetic operations (arithmetic averages،
standard deviations، Cronbach's alpha، (T) test، analysis of mono variance The results showed that the degree of
social cohesion was high for all variables (team score، years of practice، academic qualification). As for the
relationship between the degree of cohesion and the level of achievement، the results showed that there were no
statistically significant differences according to the variable of the team’s degree، academic qualification، and years
of practice
