A comparative analytical study of the effectiveness of offensive tactical variables (possession) between the playing systems (4-4-2) and (4-3-3) in the Arab Cup 2021

This research aims to compare the 4-4-2 and 4-3-3 playing systems in the effectiveness of some offensive tactical variables (possession) in the 2021 Arab Cup, by analyzing some of the teams that used these systems in the Arab Cup matches, The researcher used the descriptive method, where the research sample included the teams that used the 4-4-2 and 4-3-3 playing system, which are 9 teams during some or all of their 13 matches that were chosen in a deliberate way, representing 56.25% of the total number of participating teams (16 teams), the researcher used the observation form to collect data, and the most important results were that there are statistically significant differences for the duration and number of possession iterations between the two playing systems in favor of the 4-3-3 playing system
