Balance and its relationship to the accuracy of scoring from set pieces in football: A descriptive study on a sample of the University of Basra football team

Abstract

The aim of this study was to identify the relationship between balance and shooting accuracy from set pieces in football. The study sample consisted of 20 players from the University of Basra team, selected purposively from a pool of 5 teams (20%). Researchers used a data entry form and an expert questionnaire. The researchers concluded that there is a positive correlation between balance and shooting accuracy (p < 0.775). The researchers recommended focusing training on developing the players' motor skills, given their impact on performance levels and completion rates. They also recommended focusing on developing the players' basic skills, as these play a crucial role in achieving the required performance levels
