Sports Talent Educational School: A Proposed Model for Discovering, Developing, and Nurturing Athletic Talents in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Light of Vision 2030

This study aimed to present a proposed model for establishing a "Sports Talent Educational School" in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as a pioneering model to nurture sports talents from early childhood, grounded in the "Dual Career" framework and the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030. The study employed an analytical descriptive approach, examining theoretical frameworks, national regulations from the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Sport, and the "Nafis" platform, alongside international best practices. The findings resulted in a comprehensive operational model spanning ages 6 to 18 across six primary axes: conceptual and structural framework; an integrated educational and athletic system (national curriculum, STEM, individual/team sports); psychological, nutritional, and medical support services; specialized infrastructure; four-fold licensing compliance; child protection and governance frameworks; and a sustainable financial model based on revenue diversification and asset utilization. Furthermore, the study offered practical solutions to field challenges through flexible scheduling, blended learning, and institutional partnerships for workforce upskilling. The study concluded with actionable recommendations for policymakers and investors to adopt this model, enhancing quality of life and developing globally competitive national athletic talents.
