Abstract

 The study aims to shed light on semiotics as one of the most prominent critical approaches that has been able to impose its cognitive authority, procedures, and scientific tools in the study of literary text, by reading the significant systems and processing textual data by shifting the focus from how meaning is constructed to the mechanisms of its production. To determine the angle of focus on the movement of events and character transformations as sign systems in the text “The Moon Grass Keeper” by Jamila Talabawi.
