Abstract

In a world where ethnic and religious conflicts has increased, and the political, economic and strategic interests havecollided, the call for dialogue among civilizations comes as a strategic option in order to see the cultures of others, and interact with their components and references, especially the Islamic culture. However, the relationship between the Western and Islamic worlds has seen in the recent years a wave of racist practices, and forms of hostility and discrimination against Islam and Muslims which has been incorporated under the name of Islamophobia; a fear which is not justified , and hostility and rejection which hurt Islam and the Muslim parties . This strange paradox put us before several questions all about the legality and feasibility of the call for the dialogue and the cultural rapprochement between cultures, which we can call it a lie or myth of dialogue.
